In the weeks leading up to our move down to Cornwall, my wife Emma came across the village magazine, ‘Lizard Lives’ – a really useful monthly publication featuring useful ads for local events & businesses as well as deep dives into the occasional lives of some of the more established residents on the peninsular.
With the editor Tamara calling out for a bit of support, I made her one of my first contacts to catch up with and offer any help she needed.
And it turns out the local businesses has not long all got together and decided they needed some form of online presence to promote the village.
And they weren’t wrong. The business websites, social media pages and groups run by some of the locals are are great resource for us villagers – but for anyone coming to visit for a day or two, it’s quite a job to find out a full list of what’s going on if you don’t have access to Lizard Lives.
So a month or two after moving in…the Lizard website is here!
Showcasing our beautiful places to stay and all the wonderful things to see and do – perfect whether you’re stopping for a few hours or a few weeks.
For a small village tucked away at the end of the world, there’s a heck of a lot here to see and do. Whether it’s having a stroll around the incredible coastline and taking in some of the stunning wildlife on show here – or milling about in the village amongst the impressive collection of bars, cafes and pubs – all with a regular line-up of live music and events that would put most British establishments to shame!
